Small cabin suitcases are an ideal way to carry hand luggage that you can bring on board an aircraft. They are made from durable materials. They may be soft-sided or hard-shell. They are perfect for carrying small amounts of luggage. They are great for business trips or city breaks. You can fit quite a lot of items into this type of hand luggage.

Cabin Suitcases – Cabin Suitcase Sizes

When choosing a small suitcase as hand luggage, always check the size requirements of the airline you are flying with. Low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Wizz Air often consider relatively small bags and backpacks measuring 40 x 20 x 25 cm to be hand luggage. A suitcase is usually slightly larger. Traditional airlines offer more flexibility, and the total dimensions are often important. Small Wings suitcases fit these requirements perfectly. Always check the dimensions of the selected product before purchasing.

The lowest ticket price on low-cost airlines is guaranteed when you travel with hand luggage of the smallest dimensions. In this case, you do not pay extra for baggage. A cabin suitcase does not fall within these restrictions, but it is also considered hand luggage. However, it is subject to additional fees. Usually, when you purchase a ticket with this type of baggage, you also receive benefits such as priority boarding and faster check-in.

Which Type of Suitcase – Hard-Shell or Soft-Sided?

The materials used to make small Wings suitcases vary. A cabin suitcase can be soft-sided or hard-shell. All of them close with a zipper. A soft-sided travel suitcase protects the contents well while also offering numerous pockets and compartments where you can store some of your luggage and keep these items easily accessible. Most soft materials are water-resistant. A hard-shell cabin suitcase provides excellent protection for the contents, reducing the risk of items inside being crushed and effectively protecting the luggage from weather conditions. Although these suitcases do not have additional external pockets, they are currently very popular, partly because of their attractive appearance. The models in our store are available in a variety of colors, allowing them to stand out among other luggage at the airport. A cabin suitcase looks stylish and is highly convenient and functional. Its compact dimensions also make it easy to carry.

Cabin Suitcases – Which Material Should You Choose?

Small soft-sided and hard-shell suitcases are made from various materials. In our store, you will find small suitcases made from materials such as:

- polycarbonate – resistant to cracking and scratching. It is excellent for air travel and ensures the suitcase’s durability.

- polypropylene – suitcases made from this material are not only the lightest but also highly flexible. They provide excellent protection for the contents and are resistant to external factors. A cabin suitcase made from this material will withstand many trips and serve you for years.

- ABS+ – these travel suitcases are not very flexible, but they are made from a hard, waterproof, and scratch-resistant material. This type of travel suitcase is suitable for less frequent trips. A cabin suitcase is usually not checked in as hold baggage but taken onto the aircraft. You can therefore take care of it yourself. Suitcases handed over to airport staff are most exposed to damage, as they do not always handle them carefully. When choosing a cabin suitcase, you do not have to worry about this. You can therefore choose a more budget-friendly option by purchasing an ABS+ suitcase.

Soft-sided suitcases are made from materials such as:

- nylon – suitcases of this type are the least resistant to damage, but their advantage is their relatively low price. They may have compartments and additional pockets, which are particularly practical when traveling with a small child. In such cases, it is useful to keep childcare accessories, spare clothes, toys to keep the child occupied, and snacks close at hand to make the journey more enjoyable;

- Cordura 1200D – an exceptionally strong material resistant to cuts and tears. It is also waterproof and provides excellent protection for your luggage. Every cabin suitcase model made from this material is also equipped with additional external pockets.

- 250D polyester – another durable material that, when coated with a special layer, protects against weather conditions. A small cabin suitcase made from this material is suitable for every journey.

Despite appearances, you can pack quite a lot into a cabin suitcase. On an aircraft, this type of suitcase is placed in the overhead compartment or under the seat. Choose a Wings cabin suitcase from your favorite collection and in your preferred color, and enjoy every journey.

Small Suitcases on Wheels – What Else Should You Consider When Choosing One?

When choosing a small suitcase on wheels, it is worth paying attention to several important features. Wings cabin suitcases are equipped with high-quality accessories that work well both during air travel and when using other means of transport.

TSA Combination Lock

It protects access to your luggage from unauthorized persons and is accepted at airports. A combination lock is also useful when traveling by train or bus.

Wheels

A small suitcase on wheels is a convenient way to carry luggage, so it is also worth checking how many wheels the suitcase has and choosing one that best suits your needs.

Material

You should also pay attention to the material to ensure that it meets your expectations and suits the way you travel. Small suitcases close with a zipper. Many of them have additional compartments and pockets. These are extremely useful when the suitcase is your only piece of luggage. You can fit small devices such as a phone, as well as essential items such as a wallet, inside and keep them close at hand.

Telescopic Handle

A cabin suitcase on wheels equipped with a telescopic handle makes it easy and comfortable to carry. Wings cabin suitcases feature a two-stage, automatically locking handle that allows you to adjust the height easily to suit the person pulling the suitcase. This means that even a tall person does not have to bend down to pull it. Such a handle is highly practical and functional.

Additional Carry Handles

A cabin suitcase needs to be lifted, for example, when placing it in the aircraft’s overhead compartment. Additional handles make lifting it more convenient. They are always positioned next to the telescopic handle, and some models also have a handle on the side of the suitcase for even greater convenience and ease of carrying.

Cabin Suitcase Included in the Ticket Price?

Low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Wizzair have stricter restrictions on the size of hand luggage than traditional airlines such as LOT and Lufthansa. With low-cost airlines, a cabin suitcase always incurs an additional fee, even though it is considered hand luggage. Its size means that you have to pay extra to bring it on board. Traditional airlines are different: a cabin suitcase is usually included in the price of the basic ticket and can be carried on board the aircraft without additional fees.

A Cabin Suitcase – Ideal for Airplanes, Cars, and Trains!

Cabin luggage offers convenience and comfort not only when traveling by air but also when using other means of transport. It is perfect for traveling by car, especially a smaller one, where boot space is limited. This type of suitcase fits easily in any car, ensuring a comfortable journey. It is also an excellent choice for traveling by train or bus. This is particularly true when traveling by train, where carrying a heavy and large suitcase to the luggage area could be difficult. Thanks to its compact dimensions, a cabin suitcase makes this type of travel much easier and less stressful, even for petite women. It is also easier to carry up stairs, especially for shorter people.

Small cabin suitcases are convenient and, despite their compact size, allow you to pack quite a large number of items for business trips or holidays. To avoid surprises related to additional baggage fees, especially when traveling with low-cost airlines, always check the suitcase dimensions to make sure they fall within the specified limit.
